In April, the Columbia lost a member of our kitchen family when Chef Kelly Fletcher was killed on Easter Sunday morning in a traffic crash in Tampa. A longtime employee who also worked at Ulele and Goody Goody Burgers over the years.
After his death, the Columbia Restaurant Group established the Chef Kelly Fletcher Endowed Scholarship at Hillsborough Community College. This scholarship honors his memory as well as his commitment to young people who desire to make a career in the hospitality and culinary industry.
To build the scholarship fund, we're selling a limited edition of the Columbia's famous sangria pitchers.
Individually numbered and marked with the year 2021, only 100 were handcrafted and painted in Spain. Each pitcher is unique.
Cost per pitcher is $100.00. The goal is to raise $10,000, with that amount matched by the Gonzmart Family Foundation. All proceeds benefit the Fletcher Endowed Scholarship fund.
Don't miss this opportunity to honor the memory of a great man, collect a rare keepsake and benefit the future of an aspiring culinary student.
